Arklight’s Mission Director
Meet the Chief. What makes Arklight special, in the sense of it’s military affiliations, is that the unit is comprised of the best and the brightest minds tier 1 units have to offer. Former Navy SEALs, like Boomer, USMC MARSOC, Army Delta Force, and USAF Pararescue comprise the bulk of Arklight’s operators. The Chief represents the mission coordination and planning unit, travelling the globe in advance of the operational teams. This career enlisted man served on a DevGrp squadron (ST-6) for many years, but age catches up to even the very best. Arklight offered him an opportunity, and he took it.
The Chief enjoys cigars, smoking them, and smoking them often. He’s rarely too far away from a zesty Cuban rolled bit of deliciousness. Few men still know him as Boomer, but his history dates back to the SEAL Teams with Captain John Steadman and Chappy. That past relationship certainly helped in the creation of Arklight, and John depends heavily upon the Chiefs detail-oriented contingency planning. Of course, at 58 years of age, the Chief might be the most prepared of all the operators. He has an uncanny ability to understand objectives, even beyond the mission.
Read Arklight: Operation Nightfall and look for Arklight: Force Interdiction COMING SOON!
It’s almost ready! I am in the final rewrite before Book 2, Arklight: Force Interdiction, goes into beta read mode. I’m very excited to announce some very interesting characters, and some astounding connections, in this next release. Navy Lieutenant Anne Carter will have a much larger role to play in the series as she finally gets her chance. Tennessee natives and historical characters, Sarah Estell and Emaline Cameron, will also be included. If you’re interested in the setting, the two ladies mentioned above might give you a clue.
Interdiction promises to be a most visceral experience. The team returns only to face down their true foe, Magnus O’Keefe. More lost art, Arma Christi, Knights Templar secrets, and battles to save mankind await! I will be getting started on book 3 soon and it will bring everything full circle.
The story continues to grow!
Hello everyone! I wanted to announce that Arklight: Operation Nightfall goes into full worldwide release starting today! It spent 3 months with Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited, for a limited release, and over five hundred of copies were downloaded! The book has received excellent reviews thus far, and that was just the first draft edition. That release allowed me to iron out a few bumps in the road, in order to produce a truly professional body of work.
Prior to the worldwide launch, I was able to secure a wonderful new editor, Leah Vahjen. She took the already story edited version and helped turn it into something I am truly proud of. The story jumps from the pages and the characters got some great TLC to solidify their voice. Thank you Leah, for your council, ideas, and literary prowess!
Book 2, Arklight: Force Interdiction, is almost ready for editing. Hopefully it will be ready for release in March! Thank you for all the support!
ARKLIGHT: OPERATION NIGHTFALL started the journey!
Excerpt from Nightfall:
Chappy slowly peered around the corner to discover one of the terrorists standing outside the back door talking on the phone while the other was inside apparently asleep. The guard shack duo didn’t appear concerned about much.
Zip said, “This is not even close to a fair fight.”
“Since when do we make things fair, bro?” Chappy asked.
“I have sleeping beauty,” Zip whispered.
Chappy instinctively moved his sights on the guard talking on the phone. “When he hangs up, follow up on my lead shot.”
Arklight: Operation Nightfall finds the world’s most elite unit on the heels of terrorist Ibrahim Mohammad in Bizerte, Tunisia. From Desert Rose Reviews:
It’s been a long time since I’ve read a really, really good book, but this one definitely grabbed me. I love strong Christian novels, and this one is fantastic. With elements of classics like those by Dan Brown, mixed with the ever-popular Knights Templar legends, there wasn’t much of a chance of me disliking this story.
Each chapter started with a scripture, guiding the reader in a clever way, eluding to what was coming up next, which I enjoyed immensely. The historical aspects seemed accurate and detailed, creating clear and crisp images for each scene. The author did a marvelous job of depicting each character, setting, and evolving tone throughout the book. Each page kept me hooked as to what was happening, needing to know what was going to happen next.
Likely to become a quick hit, I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Believer or not, any lover of conspiracy theory stories, time travel, or adventure in general, is sure to enjoy this book.
Still Available on Kindle Unlimited until January 12th!

Two half-tracks opened fire on the machine gun nest and the Raiders covered down while rounds chewed up the sand around the pit. Rico loosed another 40mm round and struck one half-track with flames enveloping the interior. Few German troops remained, but it was four against many. Heavy fire erupted in the direction of Rico and Zip’s position. The Raiders were overwhelmed. Zip took aim on another soldier running toward one of the half-track’s guns and pulled the trigger. The German hit the ground stopping instantly in the sand. Rico reloaded the launcher and hit the other half-track. He watched a fireball erupt from the passenger compartment and debris scatter in the air.
The armored unit erupted in flames and smoldered with oily black smoke. The intensity of fire on their position continued to grow and punch through the bricks in the wall. Rico could see their cover was eroding and yelled, “We got to displace!”
Zip nodded under the withering enemy fire and moved to the stairway running downstairs. Rico turned to move and a round struck him in the lower right arm. Part of the shrapnel knocked the 40mm grenade launcher out of his hand denting the barrel. He winced as the shot impacted him, picked up the weapon, and continued moving down the stairs despite the pain.
The real battle begins:
BOOM – The shaped charge cut through the brick sending micro-pulverized particles exploding through the air. Most of the debris shattered into dust, but some pieces escaped destruction. A rectangular flash of light was the last thing Magnus saw before the blast fragments caused him to close his eyes.
He felt the familiar concussion of an explosive breach to his front. The force threw him backwards through the brick Murphy door collapsing him on his backside. Debris impacted him all over, but two places in particular burned with the sting of punctures. Magnus rounded his back flipping over to his hands and knees still facing the new threat. His formative British SAS training took hold despite the intense pain felt on his body and the deafening ring in his ears. The burning sensation on his face was quickly followed by a steady stream of blood.
The hope of an easy heist faded away as his mission now became infinity more difficult. Magnus struggled to reorient himself and focused through the distraction. His head throbbed from the concussion while the sting of injury pestered his senses. He instinctively reached for his twin pistols staggering upwards to his feet. The dust floated thick in the air and his confusion built into a dangerous rage.
Rico created another perfect doorway and Chappy stepped through the breach followed by Zip. The dust was hanging thick in the air while John moved his jaw about to ease the ringing between his ears. The over pressure was almost nonexistent and the team cleared inside. John entered the breach point walking behind Wisp on the right side. On the wall to the right was the painting, still perfectly intact.
John gazed upon the artwork for an instant before hearing shots ring out from the next room straight ahead. He swiveled his head to react, seeing Chappy disappear into the dust cloud. “I’m hit!”
- In Force Interdiction, the team will come face-to-face with a savage and determined enemy. Stay tuned for more as book two gets closer to completion.
